Hi David, Thank you for the recent message. Can I ask which player or players you're using? Tunein have never been good at listing songs in a comprehensive way for us &/or many other stations. I am told they are working on fixes to known issues. On mobile phones we currently recommend 'Audials' (a great free radio app) that shows artwork and track titles or 'Tunemark' (a free app displaying all song titles - just input this stream address - https://streamer.radio.co/sf662f27c0/low - into the 'station' section). FYI - On the website we list the last 10 songs played @ http://www.mysterytrainradio.com/listen/. I will send an email direct to you to see if I can help further. Thank you for the artist choices 🙂 UPDATE 03/02/19 - TUNEIN HAVE NOW REFINED THE API ISSUE AFFECTING INFORMATION. NOW ARTIST & SONG TITLE INFORMATION SHOULD DISPLAY CORRECTLY WHEN USING TUNEIN TO LISTEN TO THE STATION 🙂

Interesting and eclectic playlists, but please fix the track info for my music player and when listening via Tune In app on my phone and tab. Currently need to refresh broadcast for every track to get details of artist and song. More Steve Earle, Son Volt, Sarah Shook and Decemberists, please!

We have play-listed tracks by The Dreaming Spires, Willie Nile and Reg Meuross and I know either Alex or Phil Meek (Phil broadcasts 'Mostly Summer' - Thursday night from 9PM) have played the other artists mentioned. Brilliant to hear your thoughts. Thank you for the music suggestions 🙂

Thanks for the Christmas show - listened on play back Christmas Eve ....and I think that may be repeated a few times over the holidays. Best album of 2018 for me would be Vinny Peculiar Return Of The Native - almost from Gloucestershire [next County North] - the track Malvern Winter Gardener should resonate with folks of a certain age...

  1. Thanks for the music tonight Alex. Please take care of yourself as you take care of your family. Ed

    1. Thanks Ed. Your email to the studio got to me late… but managed to read out the fact you enjoyed the Judy Collins track 🙂 Thanks tons for tuning in and I trust the ribs and yard bird tasted mighty fine! 🙂

    Hi

Just wanted to say “Wow!” What a brilliant station! Discovered you via the Radio Garden App by just having a look around the stations and you appeared and I just love what I’m hearing!

And I’m nearby on the edge of the Cotswolds in Evesham…

You got yourself another listener and I’ll be recommending you to my friends…?

    Andy

    1. Isn’t Radio Garden a neat app Andrew! The only problem is we find as a station it doesn’t work all the time. Service can be unreliable. See a full list of reliable apps @ http://www.mysterytrainradio.com/listen/. Thrilled you found us by chance or by searching for stations locally(ish). Thanks so much for spreading the word about MTR 🙂 Feel free to let us know about the music you particularly enjoy hearing or artists you enjoy generally. Thanks again for the message here… lovely to have you aboard! 🙂

  3. Thought I need to pass this on to you – John Kilzer passed away suddenly today in Memphis, Tennessee. John was a singer songwriter, a Methodist pastor, and a true helping hand to recovering addicts in the Memphis area. You folks in the U.K. seemed to appreciate his early rock and roll work than the majority of the USA. He was well known to Memphis musicians.

    1. Oh Ed. So sorry to hear this news! We’d only discovered John’s music relatively recently. A track or 2 is played out regularly as part of our playlist of songs – these being aired throughout the day – and I know Alex has played a song of John’s on his show. We were aware of John’s association and love for Memphis and his desire to help others in need. Please accept our deepest condolences at this sad time.
