Hey Graham... Thanks tons for the kind message here! Totally thrilled to know you're enjoying the station and the music aired! We always love hearing train song selections. Actually we've played both 'Downtown Train' and 'Train Go By' in the past, but that doesn't mean we won't play them again 🙂 Great to meet you at the Bennett Wilson Poole gig in Oxford Thursday just gone! Absolutely loving Mystery train radio! Such a great selection of music, and great to be introduced to some new names as well as my favourites like Bennett Wilson Poole, Emily Barker etc!
Trying to think of songs with a mention of trains but I'm sure you've thought of Downbound Train by Bruce and Train Go By on Josh Ritter's latest album!
Thanks again for the great shows, and lovely to meet you at St Barnabus last Thursday. Hope to see you at another concert before long!!

Just a line to echo the comments made by Steve B [March 20th] - have been dipping in and out over the past month - although now dipping in more often and for longer - I have been introduced to plenty of new music [that I actually like ] whilst also picking up on a regular basis to my favourites, something I have not found elsewhere.

Just checking if a problem streaming via TuneIn. I'm sure I accessed via Echo device using TuneIn previously? I see previous post re Streamer.

Thought I need to pass this on to you – John Kilzer passed away suddenly today in Memphis, Tennessee. John was a singer songwriter, a Methodist pastor, and a true helping hand to recovering addicts in the Memphis area. You folks in the U.K. seemed to appreciate his early rock and roll work than the majority of the USA. He was well known to Memphis musicians.
Oh Ed. So sorry to hear this news! We’d only discovered John’s music relatively recently. A track or 2 is played out regularly as part of our playlist of songs – these being aired throughout the day – and I know Alex has played a song of John’s on his show. We were aware of John’s association and love for Memphis and his desire to help others in need. Please accept our deepest condolences at this sad time.
